Clase S Maybach Mercedes Sedans Geneva Motor Show
Maybach takes luxury to its highest level in the Mercedes-Benz S-Class
The Maybach version takes the already luxurious Mercedes-Benz S-Class to its peak, now even more refined thanks to the latest updates

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is one of those models from the German brand that can boast of being versatile among its features. It is a model capable of showing us several faces depending on the end customer, from its more sporty character with the Coupé or Cabrio version, through a more elegant image with its two saloon versions, to an image oriented towards greater quality and luxury in the hands of Maybach.
It is this last version that concerns us today, on which Maybach has managed to raise even further the luxury and exclusivity that this S-Class version already boasts. The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is already an impressive vehicle, offering its occupants 20 cm more than the long-wheelbase saloon version, which translates into greater comfort for the occupants. But this is only the beginning, since once inside we will find all the luxuries and comforts we could imagine.

This new reinterpretation of the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class will be presented shortly at the Geneva Motor Show, with sales scheduled to begin in April, and it takes some of its elements from the spectacular Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 that was shown at Pebble Beach. An example of the latter is the front grille, redesigned for the S-Class, but based on the fine vertical profiles inspired by a diplomatic pinstripe suit, undoubtedly accentuating its front-end image.
The exterior image can be designed to the customer’s taste thanks to the use of two-tone paint, a styling common on Mercedes-Maybach, with the option of choosing between nine different colour combinations. Furthermore, for dark colours, a double layer of enamel is used, providing a very glossy finish linked to a lacquered effect and a greater sense of depth. This double enamel layer can only be applied, after an intermediate sanding, by specialist painters through a fully handcrafted process.

To conclude the exterior updates, the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class will offer new luxury 20-inch wheels in a multi-spoke design. In any case, for those who are not satisfied with this design, there is the possibility of choosing from three other exclusive wheel models, also in 20-inch size, including those of the Mercedes-Maybach S Cabrio in a 20-hole design.
The interior has also received design modifications, primarily affecting the upholstery, where customers can now choose between two new colour combinations: Armagnac brown with black and sand beige with black. In addition, the exclusive Maybach black Napa leather upholstery can be combined with contrasting stitching in copper, gold or platinum. Finally, decorative inserts in magnolia flowing lines designo wood have been included.

Mechanically, it will continue to offer the 560 version with a manual or automatic 4MATIC transmission, equipped with a 4.0-litre V8 engine producing 345 CV and 700 Nm of torque; while on the other hand there will be the 650 version, featuring a 6.0-litre V12 engine with 463 CV and 1,000 Nm of torque.
