McLaren and Chinese designer Cabbeen create a special edition of the 570GT exclusive to China
McLaren has teamed up with Chinese designer Cabbeen to create the 570GT Cabeen Collection. Only 5 units will be built, and it will feature a very special look.

McLaren has been working hard to offer the Chinese market a range of vehicles that meet – and exceed – its expectations. To achieve this goal, it has enlisted the collaboration and help of Mr. Cabbeen, a famous designer who has taken part in creating one of the most exclusive and special McLaren 570GTs in the world. To do so, they have turned to certain aesthetic elements that depict various traditional figures of China to pay tribute to the country where this limited edition will be sold.
At the same time, the MSO department – McLaren Special Operations – which is responsible for creating unique vehicles for its most special customers, has been a clear protagonist in the manufacturing of the 570GT Cabbeen Collection. The British firm has taken advantage of this edition of the Beijing Motor Show to unveil the supercar that will represent some of the country’s main values through its look, which combines its characteristic sportiness with traditional Chinese elements that emphasise its essence.
The first thing that catches the eye of this limited edition of the McLaren 570GT is its styling, which is clearly focused on fitting perfectly into the Chinese market. On the other hand, the British firm has managed to keep intact the spirit of its entry-level supercar, which carries the great responsibility of captivating the most special Chinese customers of McLaren who will receive the only five units that will be built of this model.

The color black covers the entire body of the 570GT Cabbeen Collection with the aim of contrasting perfectly with the rest of the details, which have been finished in gold. A dragon guards the doors of the English supercar and represents a large part of Chinese culture. At the same time, the wheels and brake calipers adopt the same tone as the mythological creature. If we step inside the McLaren, we will notice the same golden dragon embroidered on the central console and on the boot trim, a way of reminding us that this is not just any 570GT.
Despite the clear aesthetic changes we can see on the Woking supercar, we do not see any mechanical modifications. That’s right, the McLaren 570GT still retains its supercharged 4.0-litre V8 intact, which is capable of delivering – as its name suggests – 570 CV and 600 Nm of torque. These figures allow it to reach 100 km/h in 3 seconds and a top speed of 328 km/h, performance figures that are ideal for outperforming many supercars that compete directly with the McLaren.

The 570GT Cabbeen Collection arrives as the brand’s ultimate expression in China, with the aim of captivating the hearts of its best customers and maintaining its presence in the country intact. Over time, McLaren has been cultivating great success on the Asian continent, and China was not going to be an exception for them.
