Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance: the plug-in hybrid with over 840 CV and 1,400 Nm makes its debut with prices announced
This special edition of the sports saloon from Mercedes-Benz becomes the most powerful production model in the brand’s history

After first glimpses over the past summer, Mercedes-Benz has confirmed the arrival date of the most radical edition of its four-door saloon. An edition that adds a touch of exclusivity and an electric motor, delivering the most extreme figures for a production model in the brand’s history, and even an ECO label.
With these interesting ingredients, the new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance also features exclusive design elements that set this special edition apart from the more conventional variants, such as its Green Hell Magno paint or, for those who prefer red, the striking Rubetille Red.

Elements that add a touch of sportiness
In addition, looking at the front of this new special edition, we find a grille and cooling intakes in high-gloss black, as well as new AMG forged 21-inch wheels, the decorative strip running along its side skirts, and the window surrounds.
Setting aside the aesthetics of this new special edition, the new AMG GT 63 S E Performance houses under its bonnet a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, paired with an electric motor on the rear axle delivering 204 CV. The result is a combined output of no less than 843 CV and an incredible 1,470 Nm of peak torque.

Jaw-dropping performance
As you can imagine, this machine’s performance figures are in a league of their own, catapulting you from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and reaching a top speed of 316 km/h. Moreover, one of the major advantages its electric motor provides is consumption as low as 7.9 l/100 km, and the ability to cover up to 12 kilometres in fully electric mode.
As for its arrival in the European market, the star brand has confirmed that the first units will reach dealerships from April of this year, starting at no less than 218,674 euros.
