Mercedes-Benz C-Class and GLC receive new accessories and sporty styling
Emphasizing the C-Class’s sportier character, Mercedes-Benz adds new styling packages, along with new technologies that also affect the GLC

In a market as competitive as that of saloons and SUVs, staying up to date is essential, which is why Mercedes-Benz has announced some small updates that will affect the C-Class and the GLC. In the case of the GLC, the changes are minor, with the introduction of new infotainment package combinations, while the C-Class, in addition to also addressing the technology side, also receives new styling combinations.
Starting with the technology side, which will affect both the C-Class and the GLC in the same way, the Audio 20 USB and Audio 20 CD systems will be compatible with smartphone integration, and this system will naturally be available for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and can be controlled by voice. In addition, the Mercedes me connect services add the Office function, which allows access to information relevant to us directly from the car. It will be available on both models from the third quarter of this year.

Moving on to the GLC and GLC Coupé, in the technology section, buyers can now choose the reversing camera or the Parking Pilot system with a 360º camera, in combination with the Audio 20 CD system. As for mechanics, for the GLC 250 4MATIC and GLC 300 4MATIC versions, a new sporty exhaust system with valve control can be fitted as an option.
Now we move on to the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, where the improvements will affect the available bodystyles: Saloon, Estate, Coupé and Cabriolet. Mechanically, for the C 200, C 200 4MATIC and C 250 versions, a sporty exhaust system will also be available. This sportiness is also reflected in the exterior and interior of the Saloon and Estate versions with a new styling package, which includes the AMG exterior kit and the Avantgarde line for the interior. This translates into the AMG body kit and black-painted AMG wheels, high-performance LED lights, a sport steering wheel with a flattened bottom, ambient lighting, and black inserts combined with aluminium ones.

In the Coupé and Cabriolet body versions, the Night Edition package arrives, which combines the AMG and Night Package in the exterior and introduces the AMG line for the interior. This gives you the AMG exterior styling kit and black-painted AMG wheels with chrome edges, plus chrome details for the front grille. Inside, and living up to its name, black inserts appear throughout alongside the sportiness of the AMG interior line, all finished with the Night Edition inscription on the centre console. Finally, as an extra, both models will have a heated steering wheel available, and the C 180 model can be fitted with a twin exhaust system.
Lastly, and only for the Cabriolet version, the Style Package will be available. This package focuses on interior improvements, with Arctic leather and Dynamic microfibre combinations in black and brown with turquoise contrast colours. The Cabriolet Comfort Package will also be available, which eliminates the manual latch by using a single steering-direction control button.
