Mercedes-Benz's roadmap leaks, promising six new models this 2021

Mercedes-Benz’s roadmap for this 2021 has leaked, with the German brand planning to launch 6 new models in addition to the recently unveiled EQA.

Mercedes-Benz has been going all out for some time now, but it has decided that 2021 will be its year. The star brand got off to a strong start with the unveiling of the EQA, the third member of the EQ family and its first 100% electric compact. However, it seems Mercedes-Benz wants to offer even more this year, so it is planned that six new models will hit the market throughout 2021, information we know thanks to the leak of its roadmap.

Indeed, the German manufacturer has big plans for 2021, a year in which it promises to introduce not only new models but also important refreshes. As planned, the Mercedes-Benz EQA arrived in the early months of this year, but it will soon be overshadowed by other siblings in the range.

According to the leak, the next Mercedes-Benz model to make its appearance will be the next-generation C-Class. The mid-size saloon from the German brand is next in line, and it will receive significant updates thanks to its larger siblings. Its presentation is scheduled for late March, while sales would begin in June of this same year.

Shortly after, in April 2021, the update to the Mercedes-Benz CLS would arrive, a model that will get a restyling incorporating the latest innovations. In May, a new variant of the S-Class would arrive, as well as the restyling of the four-door AMG GT, a model that has been in production for two years and will receive certain updates, as will the long-awaited plug-in hybrid 73 version.

However, the highlight of this year will be the Mercedes-Benz EQS and SL. The electric luxury saloon will be unveiled in April, with production planned -according to the leak- for August of this same year. For its part, the long-awaited new Mercedes-Benz SL would also arrive in April, although production would not begin until 2022.

In this way, Mercedes-Benz intends to firmly enter 2021 and ensure it is one of the most cutting-edge brands in both electrification and technology. It is true that this is a leak, but everything fits quite well with the intentions of the German firm. Either way, this year promises to be even more interesting in automotive terms, and we are convinced it will feature important new developments.
