Mercedes welcomes the new AMG GT 'roadster' models to the family

The other day we saw the arrival of the new AMG Clase E 63 4MATIC models, but today we are going to focus on other new models that have joined the wider AMG family: two roadster models that take the AMG GT to another level. They are two versions, the AMG GT Roadster and the AMG GT C Roadster, which raises the power of its predecessor and is also a new model added to the AMG catalogue.
This second model in the AMG GT convertible range has an engine producing 557 CV and a maximum torque of 680 Nm, which gives it a thrust and strength well suited to this family of luxurious, powerful cars. The model has received some of the elements found on the AMG GT R, such as the electronically controlled limited-slip differential on the rear axle. It also uses the AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension system, which helps it keep control despite this considerable power.

In other respects, the AMG GT C Roadster also takes its styling as a base from the same car, the AMG GT R. This gives it a fairly large rear bumper that allows for larger wheel arches. It can therefore fit a larger rear axle, with bigger wheels that make driving safer at all times. The image of power goes hand in hand with the sound produced by the powerful V8 engine, thanks to the new switchable Performance exhaust.
The other model reduces its power to 476 CV and its maximum torque reaches 630 Nm, and like the new model it includes a seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT gearbox. The bodywork of both is made of aluminium, resistant to torsion, and the fabric roof delivers an elegant, sporty and dynamic look. Two cars that will soon be within everyone’s reach and that will be the most elegant convertibles in the brand’s line-up.
