MG4 Electric: this is its equipment and the incredible price that will revolutionise the market
MG expands its range in Europe with the arrival of the new MG4 Electric, now available with generous standard equipment and a truly competitive price

MG’s return to the motoring world could not have been more successful, a path the brand wants to continue hand in hand with SAIC Motor, the Chinese conglomerate that absorbed the brand. On the table they present high-quality models, packed with equipment and all seasoned with a very competitive price. A good example of this is MG4 Electric, the latest model to join its line-up and which, as of today, is already available in Europe.
We saw it this past summer, and MG has wasted no time in launching it on the market, now reaching the more than 650 dealerships the brand already has in Europe, which will be expanded to well over 800 before the end of the year. The MG4 Electric’s credentials are those of a compact car that competes in the C-segment of zero-emission vehicles, that is, alongside illustrious rivals such as the VolkswagenID.3, the CUPRA Born or the recently presented Peugeote-308, but with a price that will undoubtedly make the rest of the brands tremble and force them to step up their game.

But what makes the MG4 Electric a truly attractive electric vehicle? As we have been anticipating, it is a vehicle with a length of 4,280 mm, seating five people, which will be propelled by its electric drive system. In the entry-level version, called Standart, it uses an electric motor producing 170 CV and a torque of 250 Nm that sends power to the rear axle, working together with a 51 kWh battery that gives it a range of 350 kilometres.

One step above sits the Comfort trim, where the electric motor increases its power to 204 CV while keeping the same torque, while its battery also grows in capacity to 64 kWh, increasing its range to 450 kilometres. Just above is the Luxury trim, which keeps the same mechanical characteristics as the previous trim but stands out for its greater equipment. Later on, the MG4 Electric will also offer a sportier version with four-wheel drive, so we can imagine it will add a motor on the front axle to boost its performance and traction on difficult terrain.

From the Standart version onwards, the MG4 Electric already comes with equipment we can consider very complete, including, among others, the following elements:
- Full-LED headlights
- Keyless entry and start
- Fast charging with a maximum power of 125 kW
- 7-inch digital instrument cluster
- 10.25-inch infotainment system
- MG Pilot driver-assistance package
- 16-inch alloy wheels
- MG iSmart Lite
- Bidirectional charging

In the intermediate Comfort trim, in addition to all of the above, elements such as the following are included:
- Fast charging with a maximum power of 150 kW
- Active grille
- Tinted rear windows
- 17-inch alloy wheels
- Leather-wrapped steering wheel

For the top trim, the Luxury, everything above is expanded with all the available accessories, so we find items such as:
- Double rear spoiler
- MG iSmart Full
- Extended MG Pilot driver-assistance package
- Heat pump (which slightly reduces boot capacity)
- Electrically adjustable driver’s seat
- Heated steering wheel
- Wireless phone charger
- 360º camera
- Continuous LED rear lights with decorative lighting
- Auto-dimming rear-view mirror
- 6 speakers

As I said at the beginning, the MG4 Electric is already available on the European market and therefore in Spain, with prices starting at 21,280 euros for the Standart trim, 25,280 euros for the Comfort trim and 27,280 euros for the Luxury trim. These prices already include a €1,210 discount from MG as a launch campaign, plus the €7,000 maximum that can be received under the MOVES 3 Plan.
