MINI Cooper 5-door: a facelift, same engine and versions of 156 and 204 CV
The iconic MINI gets a more attractive design and a more practical interior, while keeping the three-cylinder engine with versions of 156 and 204 CV

The legendary MINI Cooper expands its range with the new MINI Cooper 5-Door, a variant that perfectly combines the brand’s renowned driving fun with additional space and unmatched use of interior room. This model promises to become a phenomenon in its segment, with a thorough facelift that gives it a distinctive and attractive design aimed at young buyers.

Compact and functional design
With a length of 4,036 mm, a width of 1,744 mm and a height of 1,464 mm, the dimensions of the MINI Cooper 5-Door are almost identical to those of its predecessor. This compact design underlines MINI’s philosophy of maximizing interior space within a compact structure. Compared with the new MINI Cooper 3-Door, the wheelbase is 72 mm longer, and the body is 172 mm longer, which translates into greater comfort and space for occupants.

The exterior design of the MINI Cooper 5-Door reflects its urban character with short overhangs, a small bonnet, a long wheelbase and large wheels that help it sit firmly on the road. The bodywork is visually divided into three parts: a light-coloured base, an enveloping window area and a stepped or, let’s say, blended roof, features that make the MINI instantly recognisable. At the front we also find MINI’s iconic round headlights, together with an octagonal grille.
The interior grows in every respect
The interior of the new MINI Cooper 5-Door is a mix of new elements and references to its predecessors. It offers seating for five passengers, with generous rear space that provides more than enough room for three people. The 60:40 split-folding rear seats increase boot capacity from 275 litres to 925 litres.

The dashboard design is minimalist, inspired by Alec Issigonis’s classic Mini, with a central OLED screen of high resolution that has been moved closer to the driver. This new central focal point allows all vehicle functions to be controlled intuitively via the touchscreen or by voice, thanks to the MINI Operating System 9, a system that sets a new standard in graphic presentation of content, with a 240 mm diameter touchscreen and operation similar to that of smartphones.
The engine is retained but efficiency is improved
The MINI Cooper 5-Door is available in two engine versions. The base model, the MINI Cooper C, has a three-cylinder petrol engine producing 115 kW (156 CV) and 230 Nm of torque, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 8 seconds and a top speed of 225 km/h. The MINI Cooper S, on the other hand, has a four-cylinder engine with 150 kW (204 CV) and 300 Nm of torque, achieving acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds and a top speed of 242 km/h.

Both engines, combined with a modern chassis and precise steering, deliver MINI’s characteristic “go-kart feeling“, where the driving experience is raised to the maximum.
Customisation options and cutting-edge technology
The new MINI Cooper 5-Door offers multiple customisation options, with eleven body colours and three different roof colours, including a multi-tone roof option. The four exterior trims available – Essential, Classic, Favoured and John Cooper Works – allow buyers to choose between a minimalist, classic, individualised or sporty look.

The interior also offers various trim options, using high-quality and environmentally friendly materials. The MINI Experience modes, with seven different settings, allow the cabin ambience to be personalised, creating a unique and immersive experience.
MINI assistance and connectivity
The new MINI Cooper 5-Door incorporates advanced driver assistance systems, such as Parking Assistant Plus and the MINI Digital Key Plus, which turns your smartphone into a vehicle key. In addition, the voice-activated MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant allows functions such as navigation and entertainment to be controlled intuitively.
