Mitsubishi Grandis: the new family SUV that rivals the Renault Symbioz
The Mitsubishi Grandis will arrive in the European market at the end of autumn 2025 with MHEV and HEV hybrid engines
Late last year, Mitsubishi Motors announced its ambitious plans for 2025 with the launch of two new family SUVs that enter the highly competitive C-SUV segment in Europe, in addition to the recently arrived Outlander. The first of them, called Grandis, is aimed at young families looking for space, well-balanced dynamics and hybrid technology that delivers incredible fuel consumption figures. In addition, the brand confirmed that at the end of the year it will also unveil a 100% electric SUV (BEV) about which we still have no details.
The Mitsubishi Grandis, whose name takes us straight back to the iconic people carrier of the early 2000s, returns with a completely renewed proposal. Derived from the Latin word “grandis”, meaning “large” and “impressive”. The new Mitsubishi SUV will be presented in July and will go on sale at the end of autumn.
Its design has been carefully considered, with sophisticated touches and an aesthetic body. The Grandis debuts a reinterpretation of the “Dynamic Shield” at the front, a distinctive feature of the brand, complemented by a rear “Hexaguard Horizon”.

Designed specifically for the European market, the new Grandis will be available with two hybrid powertrain options, which qualify it for the ECO label from the DGT:
- MHEV (Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle)
- HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle)
In addition, the Grandis will be equipped with a comprehensive set of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technologies, guaranteeing safety and comfort on every journey. The cutting-edge connectivity with integrated Google will allow users to enjoy a seamless and practical digital ecosystem, including navigation, entertainment and intelligent voice control.
The new Mitsubishi Grandis will be officially presented in July 2025 and is expected to reach dealerships at the end of autumn of the same year. This model, like the upcoming 100% electric SUV, will be manufactured in Europe, for Europe, by the Renault Group.
