Lexus will present a highly anticipated compact at the Geneva show, featuring a hybrid engine. It is the Lexus CT 200h, and we can already share some details about it, as well as the official photos of the model.

The most controversial aspect will be the exterior design, with a front end that has a sporty flavour and is in line with the Lexus IS. However, the side profile and rear have a more original design, with an overly elongated profile line and a very thick C-pillar. It will have a low height, which heightens the sporty look, but its styling will leave no one indifferent.

That said, the design somewhat compromises the boot , which measures just 320 litres, a rather modest figure for a car 4.3 metres long, since many compact rivals on the market exceed it in this respect.

Moving on to the interior, we find first-class materials, this is a Lexus, and a distinctive design (which slightly recalls that of a BMW, and I stress slightly only) with a fairly modern layout featuring the mouse debuted on the Lexus RX, the dashboard split into two halves, and the mini gear lever of the CVT gearbox that this hybrid model will be equipped with.

In the dynamic section, the engine used will be a hybrid set combined with a 1.8-litre VVT-i petrol engine, which is expected to offer good performance. This Lexus will also offer the choice between a more dynamic driving mode and another geared towards comfort and fuel economy.

Furthermore, it can run in fully electric mode, which can be selected manually, produces no CO2 emissions and consumes nothing, covering up to two kilometres at speeds of up to 45 km/h. We will wait a few days for more information from the Geneva Motor Show, especially on performance and the prices this model could carry, but if the price range is good, it could be a serious rival for the Audi A3 and above all the BMW 1 Series.
