New Audi Q3: a second generation with a sportier, more technology-focused spirit
The new Audi Q3 offers a very attractive and sporty look and will include a special launch edition when it reaches the market next autumn

We had been waiting for it, and it arrived just when we knew it would. Audi has unveiled the new generation of the Q3, one of its most popular SUVs, which features a new, updated, sporty and active look. The Audi Q3 has that active SUV look provided by its Singleframe octagonal grille. The radiator has a more aggressive appearance with eight vertical bars. The headlight units are slimmed down and designed to create a very recognisable light signature. Furthermore, they are offered in three versions, all of them with LED technology.
The side line connects the front and rear headlights, and the bodywork clearly borrows much from the quattro range of Audi, giving it a more robust image and making it look wider. The wheel arches have mouldings in a different colour, which visually makes it look more powerful. The customisation options allow for a fairly wide range of body colours.

An interior designed for the driver’s enjoyment
The interior is designed for the enjoyment and comfort of the driver. To start with, we see a complete digitalisation of the instrumentation, presented on a 10.25-inch screen, which the driver can control from the multifunction steering wheel. Another 8.8-inch screen is located in the centre of the dashboard, to control the information and entertainment systems, such as the satnav and radio, among other functions. These can be enhanced with optional features, which come with the different equipment versions. The top version of the Audi Cockpit includes a 12.3-inch screen to offer a sharp and effective display of all the data needed for safe driving.
The Audi Q3 features permanent connectivity thanks to a SIM card included in the car, which facilitates software updates and allows real-time information to be received. It can also be used as an internet connection point for all the occupants of the car, which will surely come in handy to keep everyone entertained during journeys.
Driver assistance systems to improve safety
Safety is a priority for Audi, so the new Audi Q3 includes a good number of them. Among them we can find adaptive cruise control, although it is optional. It is also equipped with the adaptive cruise control functions, traffic jam assist (Audi traffic jam assist) and Audi active lane assist. In this way the driver can maintain control both longitudinally and laterally. Furthermore, the neutral-position control helps avoid unnecessary scares.

Engines and suspension for adventure
The Audi Q3 features three TFSI petrol engines and a TDI diesel engine, with power outputs from 150 to 230 CV, all of them four-cylinder engines with direct injection and turbocharging. The powertrains are paired with a manual gearbox or a seven-speed S tronic automatic gearbox. As for off-road capabilities, the Audi Q3 has a longer wheelbase in this new version, which helps it move more comfortably over more difficult terrain.
It also has the Audi Drive Select system, which offers six driving modes that regulate the suspension, the power steering action and the S-Tronic automatic gearbox.
The launch of the new Audi Q3 will take place in autumn and, to celebrate it, Audi will offer a more complete version, with the S Line package and 20-inch wheels, together with Matrix LED headlights, as well as small design elements that shape this special launch edition.
