New Audi RS6 and RS7 Performance, 605 CV as their hallmark

Audi has announced the launch of two new models within its “RS” range of versions, the brand’s most sporty and high-performance family.
We are talking about the RS6 and RS7 Performance, even more powerful variants based on the current RS6 Avant and RS7. They are already on sale.
The current versions of the RS6 Avant and RS7 offer 560 CV of power, enough to deliver blistering performance with a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration of under 4 seconds. However, it seems that the people at Audi still saw room for improvement, and that is why they have decided to present us with these two even spicier models.

Badged with the “Performance” name, these two models become the third in the range to exceed 600 CV of power, matching the output of the new S8 Plus (which uses the same engine) and sitting just 5 CV below the RS V10 Plus, the most powerful variant in the R8 range.
As we have mentioned, these two Performance versions use the same engine as the S8 Plus, namely a 4.0 V8 TFSI petrol engine supercharged by two turbochargers. It produces 605 CV and 700 Nm, briefly rising to 750 Nm thanks to the Overboost function. With these figures, they are capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 12.1 seconds, reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h, a limit that can be made more permissive through the gearbox, allowing them to climb up to 305 km/h.

Mechanically, the Performance versions retain the quattro all-wheel-drive system, as well as the 8-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox with torque converter. They can be equipped with an active rear differential and carbon-ceramic brake discs.
Aesthetically, the Performance models stand out from their less powerful siblings thanks to more sporty bumpers, optional 21″ wheels of a specific design, and exterior and interior details in gloss black. Prices for these versions start at €143,700 for the RS6 and €151,060 for the RS7.
