New features for the 2014 Toyota Auris

Auris 2014

Toyota brings new features to the 2014 Auris range. They include more equipment across the different versions and add one more trim level to those currently offered by the brand. Even so, prices remain the same.

The compact segment, to which the Auris belongs, is one of the segments that generates the most sales for the various brands in the automotive sector, and also the one where the most competition can be found. It is therefore no surprise that Toyota is updating it by including improvements that will appeal to the final buyer.

The Feel! trim completes the offer alongside the existing Live, Active and Advance. The Live has changed its name and is now called Business, although there are no changes in equipment or options for this trim level.

The main new features of the Feel! trim are details that give it a more exclusive character both inside and outside. 16-inch alloy wheels with a specific design, darkened rear glass, chrome inserts and “Black Piano” colored inserts on the bodywork, and an optional exterior color “Shark Blue”, are the main distinguishing features equipping the exterior of the Feel! version.

Inside the Auris Feel!, you will find sport seats upholstered in blue tones, a center console with black leather inserts, and “Dual Meter” instrumentation “Dual Meter” with two large dials and an LCD screen.

The Toyota Auris can now be fitted with the Toyota Touch 2 system. It features a high-resolution touchscreen offering 20 languages for configuration, Bluetooth, a rear-view camera for parking assistance, connections for MP3/iPod and different display modes where you can view vehicle information or manage multimedia connections. It is standard on the Active, Feel! and Advance trims.

In addition, the Toyota Touch 2 system can be complemented with the GO navigation system (Toyota Touch 2 & GO), which also includes real-time traffic information and searches with Google Street View and Panoramio. In all three cases the subscription is free for one year. Other services it offers include online local search, emergency call and roadside assistance with Toyota Eurocare.

On the 90D engine, cruise control is included, an option that was not previously available, as well as the tyre pressure indicator. This latter element will be mandatory on all passenger cars registered from 1 November 2014.

All the new features affect both the Auris 5-door and the Auris Touring Sports. The latter also includes darkened rear glass as standard on the Active, Feel! and Advance trims, which were previously optional along with the “Skyview” panoramic roof.

The engine offer remains as it was, with one petrol version (130 of 132 CV with manual or automatic gearbox (MultiDrive)), two diesels (90D of 90 CV and 120D of 124 CV, both with manual gearbox) and one hybrid (Hybrid of 136 CV with automatic gearbox (CVT)).
