Just a few days after the new Porsche 911 Turbo and 911 Turbo Cabriolet were unveiled, the German brand is now doing the same with the 911 GT3 RS. This new version features reduced weight and chassis improvements over its predecessors.

Its engine grows from 3.6 litres to 3.8 litres and produces 450 CV, a gain of 15 CV. The transmission is a six-speed manual gearbox, which delivers strong acceleration at the cost of a lower top speed.

In addition, to enhance its sporting character, this model will feature a PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) adaptive damping system, adjustable by the driver, with wider track widths at both the rear and front axles. The bodywork of the new 911 GT3 RS is also wider on both axles and therefore has enlarged wheel arches.

We also know that both the front and rear wheels will be 19 inches. Another key modification in this version is its aerodynamics, developed to provide greater downforce with a lower ride height, a new large rear spoiler made of carbon fibre, and dual outlets of the sport exhaust system made of ultra-lightweight titanium.

Inside, you can see roll bars with six-point harnesses, plus four airbags and a fire extinguisher for emergencies. Finally, the price of this model, which will go on sale in 2010, will be €161,440.
