New prototype of the Audi R8 spotted at the Nürburgring
A camouflaged prototype of what will be the successor to the current Audi R8 has been spotted lapping the legendary Nürburgring circuit. Everything seems to indicate that this will ultimately become its successor.
Over the last few months, many prototypes have been seen of what promises to become the successor to the successful Audi R8. However, everything seems to indicate that the latest one, seen a few days ago at Nürburgring, will be the definitive one.

On the front of the prototype, the angular features of the original model can be seen, such as its headlights and aggressive air intakes, which will give the model more presence on the road.
Recently, Audi unveiled the updated R8 LMS race car at the Paris Auto Show. Three air intakes could be seen on the bonnet of this new model, a feature similar to that of the model we are looking at today.
Looking beyond the front of the vehicle, we can see that it is camouflaged in several key areas, in an attempt to hide some of the most notable changes.

This new R8 will feature a redesigned rear spoiler, a prominent and enormous diffuser, as well as oval exhaust tailpipes. For now, apart from these details, it seems the German manufacturer prefers not to take risks by imitating the current generation that has been so successful for them.
It is difficult to know for certain which exact variant of the R8 we are looking at, but it will evidently be propelled by a powerful V10 engine. This feature is included as standard, although the first generation of the R8 was also sold with the option of a V8 engine.
Audi is expected to reveal the final details of the model, as well as its images, at the end of 2018, and by then we will be there to tell you everything.
