New rival for the BMW M4: AC Schnitzer's M240i will offer 400 hp

The AC Schnitzer version of the BMW M240i will be presented next week at the Geneva Motor Show under the name ACL2S. Only 30 units of this model will be produced, featuring 400 CV of power.
The BMW M240i ACL2S offers an engine control unit optimisation for its inline six-cylinder engine, plus several adjustments to the air intake, exhaust system and exhaust tips. All these modifications allow the AC Schnitzer version to increase its power to 400 CV (60 CV more than the standard model).

These performance figures allow it to surpass the figures of the BMW M2 (370 CV) and challenge its bigger brother, the BMW M4 (431 CV). However, this variant’s torque is 600 Nm, whereas the standard M2 produces 500 Nm. To complete the mechanical work, the German tuner has fitted a suspension that allows adjustment of ride height, compression and rebound of the BMW M240i ACL2S.
The AC Schnitzer package also includes a range of design elements comprising up to 10 new parts. Notable among them are widened wheel arches, revised bumpers, a carbon fibre front splitter and a new rear diffuser.

This variant of the BMW M240i offers the choice of two types of spoiler: a large rear wing or a smaller spoiler mounted on the boot lid. The exterior kit is completed by wheels designed by AC Schnitzer. Inside, the cabin features a three-spoke leather steering wheel, aluminium pedals and several badges bearing the inscription One of Thirty, referring to the 30 units that will be built of this version.
The BMW M240i by AC Schnitzer will have a total value of around 80,150 euros. The base price of this model is 44,250 euros, while the German tuner’s upgrade package costs 35,900 euros.
