Jaguar is undergoing a complete overhaul which, as we have been noticing these last few days, ranges from the launch of new vehicles designed to enlarge the brand’s “sparse” lineup to the introduction of much more powerful and above all fuel-efficient engines in every sense.

It is precisely along this line that Jaguar has been working, specifically on a new six-cylinder engine that will power the largest and most representative vehicle of the English brand. This new engine will from now on serve as the entry-level option in the range.

Unfortunately, for now the English brand has not wanted to reveal more details about this new V6 engine, which will join the one that until now was the only six-cylinder available in the Jaguar XJ, namely a 275-horsepower 3.0D; for anyone wanting a petrol vehicle, the only option was a V8, undoubtedly much more powerful.

That said, we will have to wait a few days or even weeks for Jaguar to tell us at length about the new features present in the 2012 XJ range.
