New Volkswagen Phaeton, for 2015

We’ve just received a very juicy rumour at the editorial office. Specifically, we’ve heard that the new generation of the Volkswagen Phaeton, a generation that will reach the market along with quite a few peculiarities to keep firmly in mind.

According to the magazine CAR, the surprise lies precisely in the fact that the German brand had planned to present the concept version of the Phaeton at the Frankfurt Motor Show alongside the tremendous avalanche of novelties that it could finally show the public and that they have been working on these last few months.

Even so, in the end everything has turned out well for them, since they have managed to centre all eyes on one of the most misunderstood vehicles of the moment, such as the Volkswagen UP! So perhaps this is the real reason why a model that will be presented in 2015 has not been exhibited.

Now then, what can we expect from the new Phaeton? Well, judging by what CAR publishes today, it is a vehicle halfway between the Audi A6 and the A8, which would allow it a price lower than the latter. As for engines, the high-performance V6s that will one day delight the most demanding customers will be joined by new four-cylinder units and hybrid versions.
