The United States, that enormous country that consumes gasoline, owns extremely powerful cars with outrageous fuel consumption, is at the same time one of the countries that is betting most strongly on electric power and on vehicles powered by it. Tesla is making an enormous investment and, with the help of the State, is becoming one of the strongest. That is in California.

In New York, on the other side of the country, we are going to see a change that, in the long run, we will all appreciate: they want to have a total of 10,000 electric charging points by 2020, which would mean an increase of almost 10,000% since they currently have about 100 points.

In addition, the city council of New York wants two out of every three taxis to be electric in that same year. They have therefore enacted new regulations whereby private car parks must have at least 20% of their spaces reserved and set up exclusively for electric cars.

On another note, they are going to begin replacing up to 50 conventional cars with fully electric vehicles, something that will be done gradually. They hope that by the aforementioned year 2020 there will be up to 10,000 cars circulating on the streets of one of the most important and most visited cities in the world.
