Nissan Destination Frontier: a vehicle that will take you wherever you want to travel
The United States division of Nissan has unveiled this off-roader designed for camping in the desert and other challenging terrain

Off-road vehicles are designed to make every adventure possible, whatever it may be. The Nissan Destination Frontier is another of those cars that has been designed so that limits don’t exist, allowing us to travel as far as we want without thinking about restrictions. It was presented at Overland Expo West, an off-road vehicle show held in Flagstaff, Arizona.
The Nissan Destination Frontier has been designed so that camping is wherever adventure takes us, and it has been equipped with a good number of features to turn the vehicle into a tent with everything needed. This model is based on the Nissan Frontier Crew Cab Midnight Edition and features a Hefty Fabworks front bumper. It includes a Warn winch and auxiliary lights to improve visibility during the desert night.

Elsewhere on the vehicle there are add-ons to improve its performance over terrain we don’t usually take other vehicles on, which makes everything far more exciting. Added bumper protectors and other elements for tackling challenging terrain are standard on this version of the off-roader, making the journey feel thrilling.

Ground clearance has been increased by just over 7.5 centimeters, and it also features striking Nitto Trail Grappler off-road wheels, fitted with American Racing tires, designed to move this type of vehicle to the most unexpected destinations. Since it has been designed for camping, the Nissan Destination Frontier carries a folded tent on its roof, which also serves as a bed.
The tent sets up easily and allows you to sleep sheltered inside without any trouble. The roof is made with materials featuring Weather Tech technology that maintains temperature, and on board there is also a camping fridge to keep food fresh during the trip. As for the engine, this variant uses a 4.0-liter V6 engine producing 261 CV and 381 Nm of torque.
The engine is paired with a five-speed manual gearbox and four-wheel drive, very practical considering where this interesting vehicle is expected to go. In principle, the Nissan Destination Frontier is a one-off vehicle, although Nissan North America offers a conversion of any Nissan Frontier Crew Cab Midnight Edition into this powerhouse on wheels for a price of around 40,000 dollars. A treat that North Americans, who enjoy this kind of vehicle, are sure not to overlook.
