Nissan NV 300 Concept Van: a mobile electric workshop
Nissan has taken everyone by surprise at the Brussels Motor Show with a transformation of its electric van, the NV300, featuring a somewhat peculiar and striking design inside.
Described as a “mobile workshop” for professionals and woodworking enthusiasts, or rather, the future of commercial vehicles, this new concept, practical and versatile, includes novel Nissan technology, making it a innovative and self-sufficient vehicle.
Nissan NV300 Van: Self-sufficient and rechargeable
The Nissan Energy Room technology consists of a huge repurposed portable battery, taken from the Leaf, the compact electric model from Nissan, providing a capacity of 700 kWh and a power output of 1 kW. This battery can be recharged via the solar panel located on the outside of the van.
Normal on the outside, surprise on the inside
At first glance it may look like a conventional, traditional van, but if we look at the upper part we find a solar panel that makes us wonder and imagine what it might be used for; however, the surprise lies inside.
When you slide or open its doors you find what the exterior hinted at. A complete equipment level, a large number of fittings and storage compartments, a computer with a touchscreen and swivelling seats.
The only drawback of this model is that it is simply a concept built to test options for the future in the field of commercial vehicles.
