New edition for the Toyota Aygo x-cite. Now with yellow as its signature colour

The Toyota Aygo made its debut on the Spanish market in early 2015, specifically in January. Since then, the small Japanese A-segment model has been characterised by a car with a wide range of options for personalisation, even after it has been purchased.
Over this time, the manufacturer has launched several colour editions of the Toyota Aygo in x-cite trim, such as the “x-orange” and “x-cyan”. These two are now joined by the “x-yellow” edition.
The eye-catching yellow is the base colour for the bodywork. This is combined with contrasting piano black found on the mirror housings, the roof and the 15-inch alloy wheels, as well as the X that characterises the small Japanese model on its front, running from the brand logo to the lower corners of the bumper and across the headlights, ending at the lower part of the A-pillar above.
Not all of the striking styling is on the outside, as inside we still find the cheerful yellow tone. This colour also appears on the edges of the air vents, the door trims, the edges of the floor mats, the gear knob and the seat upholstery, while piano black, again for contrast, appears in multiple inserts around the dashboard area.

As with the previous editions, the Toyota Aygo x-cite uses the VVT-i three-cylinder petrol engine with a one-litre displacement and 69 CV of power. Its homologated consumption is just 3.8 l/100 km and CO2 emissions are 88 g/km. It comes as standard with a 5-speed manual gearbox, although the “x-shift” automated gearbox is also available.
We do not yet know its selling price, but we do know that the first units will be available in Spain during June next year.
