Opel Vivaro, the renewal of the brand's best-known commercial vehicle
After getting to know the new Opel Combo, it’s time to take a closer look at the Opel Vivaro, which comes with several engine options for all types of users.

Opel has just unveiled the new generation of the Vivaro, its best-known and most popular commercial vehicle. To do so, it has improved both performance and exterior and interior design, making it far more appealing. The front features the Opel Vizor design, which also integrates optional LED headlights.
In addition, the new Vivaro is equipped with up to 18 driver assistance systems, including Dynamic Surround Vision, which will be introduced soon. Comfort for users has been improved and a new driving position has been incorporated, which includes a 10-inch digital instrument display.

The central screen is also 10 inches and is located in the centre of the dashboard. Both offer high-definition graphics, which allow for better viewing of information. There is a wireless charger for mobile phones, and devices can also be connected wirelessly via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
In addition to the various systems that the new Opel Vivaro incorporates to increase safety while driving, more storage spaces for everyday objects have been added. Handling this model is as easy as driving a car, so the driver can be more comfortable and drive in greater comfort.

Engine and batteries of the new Vivaro
The Opel Vivaro Electric uses an electric motor that delivers a power output of 100 kW, that is, 136 CV. In addition, it provides 260 Nm from the outset, so all the thrust is available immediately. Top speed is rated at 130 km/h, more than enough to fulfil its purpose.
As for the battery, it is available in two capacities. The first has a capacity of 50 kWh, while in the case of the 75 kWh battery, it can achieve a range of up to 350 kilometres on the WLTP cycle. This represents an increase of 20 kilometres over the previous version. In addition, both versions feature a regenerative braking system that allows energy to be recovered in three operating modes, selected via paddles on the steering wheel.
It can be charged with the 11 kW three-phase charger, but it can also be recharged at a fast-charging station of up to 100 kW in about 38 minutes for the 50 kWh battery and 45 minutes for the 75 kWh battery. The battery can also power external devices, making it very practical for daily work.
Opel Vivaro with fuel cell
The Opel Vivaro is also available with a hydrogen-powered fuel cell. In this case, with full tanks it offers a range of up to 400 kilometres without refuelling.
Finally, it will feature two diesel engines, with outputs of 120 CV and 177 CV, so users can choose whichever suits their tastes and needs. For the time being, the order book has not yet opened, so we will have to wait a little longer to learn the remaining details of this commercial vehicle in any of its versions.
