Outbase challenges Volkswagen and presents a camper version of the ID.Buzz
Although Volkswagen has decided to withdraw the proposal to camperize the ID.Buzz, the company Outbase has decided to launch a version of this type based on the van.

Some time ago, Volkswagen dared to announce that it would launch a camperized version of the ID.Buzz. Unfortunately, the project was shelved shortly afterwards, to the disappointment of those who were waiting for this version of the electric van. The reasons have not been clearly disclosed, but one of the reasons could have been the excessive weight of the vehicle.
Having an electric van that exceeds 2.5 t, and having to add the weight of all the camper elements, causes a great loss of range and performance, which may be one of the reasons for its cancellation. But, luckily for anyone who wants to enjoy this vehicle in their free time, the company Outbase has dared to propose a conversion of the ID.Buzz.

Outbase’s camper ID.Buzz
Faced with that refusal by Volkswagen to continue the ID.Buzz camper project, the company specialized in conversions has taken on the task of turning the electric vehicle into a fully operational camper van. We can now see it, and the result is certainly very attractive and will surely make many people interested in it.

ID.BUZZ CAMPERIZED BY OUTBASE
It has been designed to offer the maximum possible interior space and uses sustainable and recycled materials. To make the occupants comfortable in camping mode, the front seats can be rotated to face the table in the rear space. The rear seats are now foldable, so more space is gained at the back.
The small kitchen fitted in the ID.Buzz is also interesting, as it is very lightweight and offers great ease of use. Several storage spaces have also been set up on the rear walls and under the rear seats, which can be converted into a bed.
In addition to this rear bed, it features a second bed located in the roof, under the pop-up tent mounted on it. It also has a small toilet, which makes this camperized electric van very practical.
Outbase offers the van already camperized or converts the one supplied by the customer for a price of 25,690 euros.
