Peugeot 108 TOP! Roland Garros
Peugeot launches a special edition of the 108 TOP! called Roland Garros. In this way, it commemorates the “Grand Slam” tournament held in Paris on clay courts. The connection between the brand and tennis, specifically with this tournament, goes back a long way, as this is not the first time one of its models has carried the name of the “Grand Slam”. Thanks to the many customisation options, this special edition features exclusive design elements inspired by the colour of the clay courts where the legend of this “Grand Slam” tournament was forged.
The Peugeot 108 Top! Roland Garros stands out for its clay-coloured wing mirrors with indicators, a tone also used for the letters Peugeot on the front and the caps of the 15″ Thoren alloy wheels. The tournament logo is featured on the bodywork, both on the sides of the vehicle and at the rear. It is available in two standard colours: Lizipan White and Caldera Black metallic.
Inside, which is also customisable, it features commemorative details related to the tennis tournament. For example, these details appear in the seat stitching, which is also decorated with the tournament emblem, and on the air vent surrounds. The steering wheel and the gear lever gaiter are trimmed in leather. In terms of equipment, it includes features such as hands-free access and start, and Active City Brake.
The engine powering this Roland Garros special series of the Peugeot 108 Top! is the 1.2-litre PureTech petrol unit producing 82 CV, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The new Peugeot 108 Top! Roland Garros starts from €14,820.
The relationship between Peugeot and Roland Garros dates back to 1989, when the first commemorative “Grand Slam” special series became the tournament’s official car. These editions add an extra touch of elegance and image to the Peugeot range, inspired by this tournament. The first versions were available in the distinctive green of Roland Garros and have since evolved into whites and blacks adorned with exclusive clay-coloured details.
