2008 Peugeot Electric Cars SUV
Peugeot 2008 gets an update, and its electric range rises to 406 kilometres
The new Peugeot 2008 will reach dealerships this very summer.

The Peugeot 2008 has just been updated after becoming a genuine best-seller in the B-segment for over three years. Now, the Lion brand has modernised it and opted for a much more attractive design. In addition, the B-SUV is now far more technological and, of course, more electrified.
This new SUV reached the market in 2019 and since then, almost 700,000 units have been produced at the Vigo plant, making it one of the three best-selling B-segment SUVs in Europe. The success of this model is due, above all, to the Peugeot e-2008, which has been a pioneer of electrification in its segment since 2019, with more than 75,000 units produced.
Matthias Hossann, design director, has noted that “with the new 2008, Peugeot continues to reinforce its technological identity and its feline character. One of the key elements of its design is the work carried out on the front of the vehicle, where the three-claw signature takes centre stage. It emphasises a robust, muscular style that has contributed to this SUV’s great success in all markets and explains the new 2008’s rise to the upper ranges of the segment”.

As the Lion brand has confirmed, the model stands out for the solidity of its design, commonly described as elegant, vigorous and robust. Its versatility and agility are also highly rated, making the new 2008 an SUV particularly well suited to families with an active lifestyle.
It will go on sale in summer 2023 with a range based on three versions (ACTIVE, ALLURE, GT) and four engines, including a new fully electric motor of 115 kW/156 bhp that will deliver a range of up to 406 km (WLTP combined cycle). The range will be expanded in 2024 with the arrival of a new hybrid engine.
Jerome Micheron, product director, has pointed out that “the new Peugeot 2008 confirms its move to the upper part of the segment and enters a new dimension thanks to its design – more SUV than ever –, its next-generation connectivity and the increased range of the 100% electric version. The e-2008 version is equipped with the latest electric technology and offers a range of more than 400 km. In an extremely active market, the new Peugeot 2008 has everything it needs to remain at the top of the podium among compact SUVs. It will continue to attract a wide variety of customers concerned about sustainability and perfectly embodies the values of Peugeot”.

The new Peugeot now features new LED rear lights that take the form of three elegant horizontal double stripes layered on top of each other, creating the visual effect of widening the rear. The reversing lights and indicators are also LED. The front, meanwhile, has a redesigned look highlighted by the brand’s new emblem. It is now wider and includes a side element that connects with the headlights, reinforcing the verticality and powerful presence of the vehicle.
For the launch, the modern Selenium Grey has been chosen, which is also included in the available colour palette. And the new Okenite White, with its rich bluish-grey reflections, will underline the sophistication of the new 2008. The GT version is two-tone and comes with a black roof as standard. All models of the new 2008 feature black wing mirrors, regardless of the bodywork colour chosen.
The new 2008 is available in six colours: Selenium Grey, Artense Grey, Okenite White, Perla Nera Black, Elixir Red and Vertigo Blue.
