ABT pays tribute to the Audi RS6 with the Legacy Edition preparation, limited to 200 units

The Audi RS 6 is one of those vehicles that any car lover dreams of having in their garage; its family-style body with sporty touches hides a true beast that, in its latest Performance version, raises its characteristics even further. At ABT, the German tuner specializing in Audi and Volkswagen, they also keep a favorite corner for the RS 6, with a large number of preparations or unique editions, such as the Johann ABT Signature or the one-off creation for Jon Olsson.

Once again ABT returns to the fray with the Audi RS 6 Performance as the protagonist, applying its personal aesthetic touch through an aerodynamic kit in which carbon fiber is the main star, along with mechanical improvements that make the RS 6 Performance an even more formidable sports car. All of this results in the Legacy Edition limited edition, of which only 200 units will be built.

The ABT RS6 Legacy Edition will stand out on the exterior for its numerous aerodynamic elements, but without a doubt the one that will attract the most visual attention is the modification to the bonnet, which features an opening trimmed in carbon fiber that also helps cool the reworked V8 engine. To this we must add other parts such as the front splitter with side fins, the side skirts together with gills, the mirror housings, also in carbon fiber, a lower insert for the rear diffuser in line with the front splitter and, of course, a new spoiler placed above the rear window with side moldings.

The interior atmosphere of the RS6 Legacy Edition is sporty in its standard configuration, but ABT has wanted to enhance it by adding its own details. The Dynamica fabric, characterized by its soft touch and coated with Teflon to repel dirt and moisture, is now applied to elements such as the door panels, the seat trim and the dashboard, to which we must add the steering wheel upholstered in Alcantara with the red center marking. To make it even more special, this Legacy Edition includes embroidered specific logos on the headrests and floor mats, including the boot mat, special welcome lighting, door sills with the unit number, and a personalized start button.

The heart of the ABT RS6 Legacy Edition remains the spectacular V8 which, in the latest Performance version Audi, already received improvements that raised its power to 630 CV and its torque to 850 Nm. At ABT they know that even more can be extracted from this engine; in fact, they only needed to fit a new turbo, intercooler and modify the intake duct to reach a power of 760 CV and a torque of 980 Nm. This power is transmitted to the asphalt through 22-inch forged wheels fitted with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport tires, and we must not forget its new roar through the stainless steel exhaust line with four 102 mm diameter outlets.
