Electric Cars Geneva Motor Show Supercars
Pininfarina Battista, the Italian hypercar designed by the coachbuilder of the stars
The coachbuilder, now turned hypercar manufacturer, has teamed up with RIMAC to create the most powerful road-going supercar ever built in Italy

The Geneva Motor Show once again gave us the chance to dream about the most striking new arrivals on the automotive market. One of the cars that has impressed us has been the Pininfarina Battista, a hypercar designed by the coachbuilder Pininfarina, which has now become a manufacturer of striking models that will arrive gradually. According to reports, the Pininfarina Battista is the most powerful road car ever designed and built in Italy.
And this doesn’t sound like exaggeration, because this model has an electric powertrain that delivers power equivalent to 1,920 CV and a peak torque that approaches 2,300 Nm. Yes, as you can imagine, the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration is extremely impressive, with barely 2 seconds needed to reach 100 km/h. These figures are delivered by four motors, mounted one at each wheel, which can operate independently, guaranteeing greater control of the vehicle.

The brakes consist of carbon-ceramic discs measuring 390 mm, which provide good performance in controlling all that power thanks to the six-piston calipers, also supported by the active rear wing, which can be used as an aerodynamic brake. The electric drive system has been designed by RIMAC, which worked to achieve the best performance from the car, not only in terms of power but also in driving comfort.

To power those four powerful motors there is a 120 kWh battery, located in the central tunnel and behind the seats, which provides a theoretical range of 450 kilometres, a figure that is quite good for an electric vehicle, especially one of these characteristics.
Continuing with the exterior of the Italian model, the large 21-inch wheels are fitted with Pirelli P Zero tyres that have been designed and manufactured exclusively for this model. This means they are calibrated to the millimetre to deliver the best performance on the car. By the way, only 150 units will be built, each one pampered to the extreme in the brand’s workshops, so that every one is a piece of fine watchmaking that performs and looks like no other.
