The brand’s new electric roadster will arrive in 2026 and will be called Polestar 6. Want to know more?

The electric vehicle company Polestar has confirmed its plans to put its electric roadster prototype into production. The series-production vehicle is expected to be unveiled in 2026 as the Polestar 6 electric roadster. Interested customers can reserve a slot on the production line online starting August 16, 2022, in all markets where Polestar is present.
Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar, has stated that “the reception among consumers and the press was so positive that we decided to put this extraordinary roadster into production. For me, it is like a dream come true. The Polestar 6 is a perfect combination of a powerful electric motor and the thrill of driving in the open air with the roof down.”
Presented in Los Angeles last March as the Polestar O2, the electric roadster prototype advances the design, technology and sustainability goals of the Polestar Precept and represents the brand’s vision for the future of sports cars.
Everything we know about the future Polestar 6

The hardtop convertible will be built on Polestar’s distinctive welded aluminum platform. Developed in-house by the brand, the vehicle will share the same 800 V electrical architecture and high performance as the Polestar 5. This includes a maximum output of 650 kW (884 CV) and 900 Nm with dual-motor drive, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h.
To celebrate the launch, 500 numbered units of a special “LA Concept” version will be produced, the “Polestar 6 LA Concept edition”. These vehicles will feature the exclusive Sky blue exterior, light leather interior and 21-inch wheels from the original Polestar O2 prototype.
The news of the electric roadster prototype going into production will give special prominence to the brand’s presence at the “Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance” and at “The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering” during Monterey Car Week in California between August 18 and 21, 2022.
