Polestar vehicles finally arrive in France

With its arrival on the French market, Polestar strengthens its position in Europe at a time when its vehicle range is broader than ever.

The Swedish brand Polestar, owned by Chinese giant Geely, has finally confirmed its arrival on the French market with a lineup of vehicles that initially includes the Polestar 2, 3 and 4 models. This launch marks a milestone for the company and comes to fruition after overcoming a delay caused by a legal dispute that prevented its entry into this market earlier.

Polestar had already intended for several years to expand its commercial activity to France. However, a trademark dispute stood in the way. In 2020, the PSA Group, now part of Stellantis, sued Polestar, arguing that its logo looked too similar to those of Citroën and DS. It was not until just over two years later, in autumn 2022, that this dispute was resolved, paving the way for Polestar vehicles to begin driving on French streets and roads.

“We are excited to bring our range of high-performance electric vehicles to France, a key market for the growth of electromobility in Europe. Our models have already received excellent reviews in the French media, and we look forward to seeing more and more Polestars on the country’s roads in the coming months.”

In addition, the company is working on building several dealerships, with the first one scheduled to open next July in Le Mans. During the second half of the year, up to ten additional showrooms are expected to open in other French cities. French customers also have access to more than 100 service centers distributed throughout the country.

“We have an ambitious plan to grow in France, with the goal of establishing up to ten sales points in 2025 and further accelerating the brand’s presence in 2026. Polestar fits perfectly into the French market, thanks to its focus on performance, design and sustainability, aspects highly valued by consumers in the country.”
