For 30 years, the Porsche Supercup has been a benchmark for the brand’s enthusiasts. To celebrate this very special anniversary, the German brand has commissioned a special model, a one-off unit from the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur division. It is a Porsche 911 GT3, approved for road use. To create this very special vehicle, a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup was used as the base, and the result has been unveiled to the public.

Over six months, work was carried out on this model, which falls under the Sonderwunsch programme of special commissions carried out at the factory. This programme includes both modifications to existing models and entirely new developments. In the first case, work is done on the car and small changes are made to give it a new look. In the second, improvements are also introduced to its performance and mechanical characteristics.

A new look for a classic

Work was carried out on the bodywork, which features eight shades and the Porsche Supercup logo. On the rear bumper, the names of the 29 winners of this competition have been added in gold tone for customers. This one-off version represents an example of what can be achieved through Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, an option available to anyone who wants to personalise their Porsche.

On the basis of the Porsche 911 GT3, work went on for weeks to give it its definitive look. It was disassembled and for several weeks work was carried out on the body paintwork. The exterior look was achieved using paint. The eight colours used are GT Silver Metallic, Agate Grey Metallic, High-Gloss Black, Meteor Grey Metallic, Parliament Grey Metallic, Volcano Grey Metallic, Granite Grey Metallic and Diamond Black Metallic.

The most complicated part of the painting process was the multicoloured pixel mesh across several areas of the bodywork. This design sits behind the air outlets of the front bonnet, at the rear. The 30th anniversary logos are located on the doors and the front bonnet. On the rear bumpers, the names of all the race winners have been written in gold paint. To keep them intact, a high-gloss clear lacquer has been applied over them.

After the painting work, the car was reassembled and finished off with the remaining aesthetic details. Inside, the seat upholstery has been replaced and the anniversary logo has been added in relief on the headrests. The door armrests feature a cube pattern in Black/Aurum, and the logo also appears on the dashboard. There are other exclusive details, which make this car a one-off not only because no others will be built, but because it has special finishes.
