Porsche presents the new update for its infotainment system
The cars of several Porsche models will receive an update to the infotainment system that is more efficient and includes improvements suggested by users

Porsche has just announced that its information and entertainment system will receive an update. In principle, this will only apply to new vehicles produced for several models. The new 911, Panamera, Cayenne and Taycan leaving the production plant from now on will benefit from Porsche Communication Management 6.0.
The first change visible in the PCM 6.0 is a change to the system icons. The image and colors have been improved so that they can be identified more easily. This was a proposal from the system’s own users, who perceive them better this way and reduce the time they are distracted when handling them.

Improvements to Voice Pilot
The voice recognition system has also been improved and now has a wider reach. In this way, starting the vehicle or controlling the systems that can be operated this way can be done simply and efficiently. This way, driver distractions are avoided and risks while driving are reduced.
More apps available
Users of new cars of this model will have apps at their disposal to improve the driving experience. Among these new apps, Spotify stands out. To access it, simply log in with your Porsche ID and you can create a media source to enjoy while behind the wheel.
In addition, the app includes a “Like” option, so you can save the track that is playing to your favorites list and listen to it later.
Another important app, this one for the Taycan, is the new navigation system. It selects charging points with greater capacity to optimize journeys based on these more powerful stations. In this way, route planning can be more efficient. The algorithm also calculates charging times and the time needed to reach the charging area, based on the driving conducted. It also indicates whether they are in use or not, so all the relevant information about them is available.
With these new features, users will see some of the suggestions they have contributed through the brand’s surveys implemented.
