Of course, this is not the classic taxi we usually find on our streets. Although, to be honest, in tourist areas such as the Canary Islands, where I am lucky enough to live, if you head south on the island you will not find a single taxi that isn’t a Mercedes costing 40,000 €, but that is by no means the average in Spain.

And of course this is not the new Taxi that is running around Stuttgart. No less than a Porsche Panamera Turbo converted into a taxi to take tourists and German citizens around the city with 500 hp of power and a truly high cost for any taxi driver. The economic secret, who knows, because it certainly can’t be very profitable.

If you want to go to the office and don’t have the time to look for parking, you might prefer to go in a V8 capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds. We don’t know whether it charges an extra fare for traveling at high speeds or for burning an enormous amount of petrol while looking for customers, but surely some customers would be willing to pay it.

A pity we can’t enjoy it in Spain. It may be a marketing campaign for Porsche to advertise its saloon, or it may really be a wealthy taxi driver who devotes himself to enjoying driving even at the cost of losing money. The following video is in German, but what is worth seeing can be seen by everyone.
