Porsche will not only create a model above the 911 Turbo, but two

As you well know, Porsche is not only working on developing a new generation of its cornerstone, the new Porsche 911, but for a long time we have known that it has the development and production of a vehicle far superior to the 911 in the works, no less than the resurrection of the legendary 918 Spyder.

Today, on the contrary, we are going to talk about a new model, one that, according to the sales chief of Porsche himself, would make much more sense and would sit on an intermediate step between the new generation of the legendary 911 and the one set to succeed the legendary Carrera GT on the throne, statements that have been corroborated by none other than Matthias Müller in remarks to the German newspaper Handelsblatt.

According to these latest statements, the vehicle in question would be designed as an ideal rival to the Ferrari 458 Italia and company, so we would be looking at a supercar equipped with an engine capable of delivering power that would be around 600 horsepower, all mounted on a new modular sports platform currently being developed by the best engineers at the German firm.

As for prices, according to Mr. Müller, we would be talking about a supercar that would be available on the market at around 400,000 euros. Even so, it is no less curious than the creation of a model that calls into question the hegemony of the undisputed 911.

On the other hand, we must take into account the fact that Porsche is immersed in a deep restructuring in which the main objective is to multiply its model range as a respected maker of sporty performance vehicles, so it cannot live on creating new small saloons and SUVs either, like the Cajun project.
