Presented in New York the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid

The hybridisation strategy of Toyota reaches a new model within its line-up. The RAV4 debuts a hybrid variant, with the powertrain of the NX300h, the compact SUV from Lexus. The hybrid option will be available for all RAV4 trims which, in addition to two new Premium trim levels, also features styling changes affecting the entire 2016 range.
On the front of the RAV4 Hybrid, a new LED-technology instrument panel catches the eye above a redesigned bumper with a double grille. The side profile stands out for its wide wheel arches that reveal the off-road character of the model, while the rear features a bumper with a metallic diffuser. Furthermore, new-design alloy wheels and three new colours are added to the palette of options: Silver Sky Metallic, Currant Black Metallic and Electric Storm Blue.

The interior of the Toyota RAV4 receives an upgrade in quality with new materials, a 4.2-inch TFT screen for the on-board computer and a 7-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, USB connection and 12V socket, new interior colours, rear parking sensors, smart key, and a Homelink system for opening the garage door.
In terms of safety, the 2016 RAV4 features a four-camera system providing a 360-degree view around the vehicle, pre-collision system, forward collision warning, lane departure alert, pedestrian pre-collision system and radar-based adaptive cruise control. Additionally, for the top trim levels, the RAV4 Hybrid will be available with the intelligent electric all-wheel drive system (AWD-i).
The mechanical section is made up of a 2.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine and an electric motor acting on the rear axle which together deliver a maximum output of 197 CV, with a consumption of 5.1 litres per 100 km and emissions of 118 g/km.
