Preview and timetable for the 2018 British MotoGP Grand Prix
The MotoGP Championship arrives at Silverstone with an easy victory for Marc Márquez, but Dovizioso could put him under pressure after the latest GPs

This is one of those few weekends of the year when motorsport fans have a double date with the two most important competitions in the world on two and four wheels. So this Friday 24th, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th August we have, on one side, the 2018 Belgian F1 GP and, on the other, the 2018 British motorcycle GP.
The British GP is the twelfth of the nineteen races that make up the championship this year, 2018. The race has been held since 1977 and has taken place at two venues: Donington Park and Silverstone, where it has been run since 2010 and where it is also run this year, 2018. The circuit, which also hosts the British F1 GP, has been resurfaced for the occasion.
The MotoGP World Championship arrives at this race with the wind in its sails for Marc Márquez, both because of his dominance and the lack of a rival consistent enough to challenge him in a championship that rewards consistency. Although the Ducati riders are now in good form, and the duels of the last races, especially those between Márquez and Lorenzo, have spiced things up for the fans and are reason enough to be in front of the television.
In terms of points, the Moto3 and Moto2 categories are tighter. In the smallest displacement class, Spaniard Jorge Martín will fight once again to take the lead from Italian Marco Bezzecchi. Meanwhile, in the intermediate category, the duel between Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira and Italian Pecco Bagnaia continues.
