Prices and range of the 2015 Volkswagen Sharan for Spain

Volkswagen today begins taking orders for the 2015 range of its Sharan MPV. The first units will be delivered in Spain in September. The model, which turns twenty this year, takes advantage of the update, as many others do, to adjust its engines to the Euro 6 emissions standard and to incorporate the latest driver assistance systems.
The new Sharan is offered with a single petrol engine, an improved version of the 2.0 TSI that delivers 220 CV (previously 200 CV). The 1.4 TSI of 150 CV disappears. The diesel engine line-up 2.0 TDI remains identical at the entry level, the 115 CV version, but the middle one gains power, now with 150 CV (previously 140 CV), and the top one, which produces 184 CV (seven more than the previous version).

Consumption figures for the TDI range from 5.0 to 5.3 litres per hundred kilometres depending on whether they are paired with the six-speed manual gearbox or the DSG dual-clutch gearbox with the same number of ratios. This transmission can only be combined with the 150 and 184 CV TDI, while the middle one is the only one that can be paired with the 4Motion four-wheel-drive system.
The Sharan is available in three conventional trim levels and one limited edition. The most basic, the Edition, comes as standard with five seats, LED rear lights, Memphis 16″ alloy wheels, Park Pilot parking distance control, a leather multifunction steering wheel, Climatronic, driver fatigue detection, the Connectivity Package with Bluetooth and a plug with USB adapter, and the Composition Colour MP3 CD radio with a 5″ colour touchscreen, SD slot and auxiliary input.
The middle trim, called Advance, adds a third row of seats for seven occupants, chrome roof bars, electrically folding mirrors, electrically operated sliding side doors, the Park Assist 3.0 system, a rear-view camera, and the Composition Media MP3 CD radio with a 6.5″ high-definition touchscreen, eight speakers and preparation for the Volkswagen Universal Bluetooth telephone.

The limited Ocean series is based on the Advance and adds to the above Hudson Bay Blue exterior colour, bi-xenon headlights, 16″ Jakarta alloy wheels, a panoramic roof and upholstery in various shades of blue. The most complete version, called Sport, features 17″ Sydney alloy wheels, tinted rear windows, an interior combining Alcantara and leather, the ACC intelligent cruise control with Front Assist and city emergency braking, and sport suspension.
Among the optional equipment, it is worth mentioning the possibility of fitting the Sharan with MirrorLink, Android Auto by Google and CarPlay by Apple. These are integrated with the App Connect technology of the Volkswagen Car-Net system, and can only be purchased with the Composition Media and Discover Media multimedia platforms, the latter including navigation.
