First images of the spectacular redesign of the 2025 KIA EV6
The South Korean manufacturer continues to stand out for design compared with the rest of the competition, in this case with the restyling of the 2025 edition of the EV6
If the latest KIA electric models based on the E-GMP platform stand out from the rest at first glance, it is because of their futuristic design. The South Korean manufacturer has opted for a modern and bold look in its latest launches, such as the EV5 and the EV9, and the same will happen with new models such as the EV3 or the EV4, which are still to arrive.
With all these models following the manufacturer’s new design line, KIA has faced a problem that was going to end up affecting its most veteran model based on the E-GMP platform as well. The EV6 could end up becoming the ugly duckling of KIA’s new-generation electric range, with an elegant and eye-catching design, but one far more traditional than the rest.
The KIA EV6 is being renewed to keep up
But nobody should worry about this, KIA already has the solution. The South Korean manufacturer has just leaked in advance a couple of images of the renewed design of the new 2025 EV6, which will probably be officially presented towards the end of the year. A renewal that will bring all KIA electric models based on the E-GMP platform into line, following the same modern and futuristic design language.

As can be seen in the images, the front of the new EV6 is far more aggressive than that of the current model. KIA refers to the similarity of this new front to a “tiger’s nose”, which probably explains the aggressiveness we mentioned. In any case, what seems beyond doubt is that it is much more attractive than the current model’s and also gives the vehicle a certain air of exclusivity, as no other model from any other manufacturer on the market has dared to go so far.
At the rear we also find some changes, although these are not so obvious at first sight. The new 2025 KIA EV6 keeps the light bar running from side to side at the rear, but now it ends in an LED triangle, as we can see in one of the images leaked by the manufacturer.

Finally, it should be noted that, beyond this redesign, the new EV6 is also expected to incorporate some of the improvements we have already seen in its sibling, the IONIQ 5 from Hyundai. Thus, the 77 kWh battery pack of the current model will probably be replaced by a new 84 kWh one, with which the vehicle’s total range will increase slightly.
