Qoros delivers its first vehicle to a customer

Qoros’ compact saloon has started its commercial journey in its home market, and the first customer has already received his long-awaited vehicle. At a celebration event at a dealership in Shanghai, a 28-year-old interior designer received the keys to his Qoros 3 Sedan from the brand’s vice-president, Volker Steinwascher.

The Qoros 3 has become the first Chinese-built vehicle to earn five EuroNCAP stars and is one of the models that will have a presence in the Spanish market, where it will possibly arrive in 2015.

Qoros has worked hard to change the perception that Western audiences have of cars made in China. We are no longer looking at fragile cars with designs copied from other European brands; instead, we are starting to see that partnerships between Western and Chinese brands are producing interesting models. Qoros’ next step will be a compact car, apparently a three-door, which will be unveiled in Geneva.

With a starting price in China equivalent to around 14,500 euros, the car has been widely praised for its elegant design and quality. Its QorosQloud connectivity services, accessed through an eight-inch touchscreen fitted as standard across the range, offer advanced navigation, communication and vehicle control functions.
