Range Rover SV Coupé: a return to the origins… but at what price!
Land Rover launches a limited edition of the Range Rover with a two-door body. Only 999 units of the new Range Rover SV Coupé will be built, priced at over €330,000.
It has been almost 50 years since Land Rover unveiled what we can consider the first premium SUV, the Range Rover, originally with a two-door body. Now, the brand has decided to launch a limited edition of a two-door version of its large luxury 4×4, the new Range Rover SV Coupé, which is presented at the Geneva Motor Show.
The price difference between the Range Rover SV Coupé and the Range Rover V8 5.0 Autobiography it is based on exceeds €130,000.
The Range Rover SV Coupé has been developed by Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations division. Its exclusivity is not only due to its handcrafted manufacture, or the fact that only 999 units will be built for the whole world. Undoubtedly, one of the features that makes the Range Rover SV Coupé one of the most exclusive SUVs – or cars, we should say – in the world is its price: €333,100.

The starting point for developing the Range Rover SV Coupé could be none other than the most powerful and luxurious of today’s Range Rover models, the 565 hp V8 5.0 with Autobiography finish. The bodywork of the former is modified as necessary to remove the two rear doors, although the body length is not reduced, which is a full 5 metres. Slightly wider and lower, the doors have no window frames. Other characteristic aesthetic features are the huge panoramic roof, or the alloy wheels, which can be up to 23 inches.
Luxurious, but prepared for extreme 4×4 driving
With the most powerful engine in the range, the Range Rover SV Coupé accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds, and reaches a top speed well above that of the fastest model in the series so far, reaching 266 km/h. And like any good Range Rover, it doesn’t stop when the tarmac runs out.

Few who spend more than €330,000 on a car like this would venture to scratch it on tracks or country roads. But it is not for lack of preparation: the Range Rover SV Coupé features air suspension with five driving modes, and includes four-wheel drive with the Terrain Response 2 system.

Among the exclusive details, beyond the bodywork transformation that turns it into what Land Rover calls an SUV Coupé, we find everything from hand-finished details on the front bonnet and rear tailgate by a prestigious English jeweller to exclusive two-tone colours, the most sophisticated materials for the interior trim, and equipment such as LED laser headlights.

For such an exclusive car, Land Rover offers a standard five-year warranty, with the Care Package, which covers five years of servicing and maintenance including coverage for brake disc and pad replacement, and even windscreen wiper blades.
