Real Madrid collects its Audi at the Jarama circuit
The Real Madrid players have been at the Jarama circuit to collect their Audi. Cristiano Ronaldo opted for the R8, while most of the squad went for the Q7.

Lucky these footballers are; I want to be one when I grow up! Earning millions of euros a season is not enough for them, because Audi also gives each player in the Real Madrid squad a Audi. Just like that. The German firm sponsors the Merengue club and, every year, provides each player with an “official” model to drive during that season.
The handover took place at the Jarama Circuit, attended by personalities such as Manuel Caballero, Director of Audi in Spain, and Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez. The drivers Miguel Molina, who races a Audi in the DTM, and Marc Gené, who drives one of the LMP1 cars in the WEC and, to top it all, is a test driver for Ferrari in Formula 1, were also present.

Each player was able to choose the car they wanted, with twenty-three cars handed over in total. Cristiano Ronaldo, for example, chose the Audi R8 coupé, valued at 137,000 euros. Not bad at all. Benzema went for the RS5, while Iker Casillas opted for the A6 allroad estate. The rest of the squad, such as Sergio Ramos or Pepe, preferred the Q7, the most popular choice. Mourinho, for example, took an A8.
It is worth noting that the players who chose the most expensive models, such as Cristiano Ronaldo, had to sign a clause under which, when the season ends, they are obliged to buy the vehicle. Still, if you earn 10 million euros plus all the publicity you generate, what’s 135,000 € to you?
