Alfa Romeo Chrysler Sedans Recreations
Recreations of the Alfa 169 and its possible V8 engine

Within the Italian house an important new development is about to come to light: the next Alfa Romeo 169, which would replace the model that has already left the market, Alfa 166. So far we had seen a few graphic reconstructions of the design of the next executive saloon from Alfa Romeo, and this time we bring you a very interesting reconstruction that blends the new design features of Alfa Romeo.
But the news does not stop at a simple graphic reconstruction. According to what Autocar reports, the new Alfa 169 could come with a V8 engine. This information comes from a statement Alfa has sent denying that the previous 166 generation had a V8 engine, and Alfa literally said:
No Alfa Romeo with front-wheel or all-wheel drive will use an engine larger than a V6.
Therefore, there is no need to think too hard to connect the dots: the new Alfa 169 could use the platform of the new Chrysler 300C, which is rear-wheel drive, and in this way have a V8 block available for the Alfa 169. It is also worth remembering that the 169 will be a key car for Alfa’s entry into the US market, an event planned for 2012.
