Renault presents this limited edition of the Captur model, the Renault Captur Wave. It does not have many changes compared to the base model, but the few it receives give it a distinguished and elegant touch.

We recall that this small crossover pioneered the segment it belongs to. It is produced in Spain and is one of the brand’s best-selling vehicles, having sold more than 32,000 units in France alone in the five full months we have so far this year.

On the exterior, the Renault Captur Wave, which is based on the model’s Intense trim, features a new pearl white body colour exclusive to this edition, with a black roof and mirror caps featuring blue wave-shaped stripes. It is also available in platinum grey, Pacific blue and “Marine Fumé blue”. Added to this are 17-inch diamond-effect alloy wheels, special edition lettering and silver-coloured protection on the front and rear bumpers.

In its cabin, we find numerous details that use the blue tone on elements such as the mixed-material seats, upholstery stitching and the contours of the speakers and centre console. The floor mats are also specific to this edition.

As for the equipment, the Renault Captur Wave comes with the Techno Pack, featuring the R-Link multimedia infotainment system, rear-view camera and rear-view mirror with electronic anti-glare function.

The Captur Wave can be paired with all the engines available in the range, although the highlight is the addition to the Renault Captur range of the new 120-horsepower TCe engine with a six-speed manual gearbox, as previously this engine was only available in this crossover paired with the EDC dual-clutch transmission.

According to Renault, with the features standard on the Wave version, the saving is 900 euros, that is, 4.1 %. Renault has not confirmed whether this variant will be exclusively for the French market or also offered in the rest of the European markets.

The price of this special edition for our French neighbours starts at 21,100 euros for the 90-horsepower TCe, with the 90-horsepower dCi diesel with EDC gearbox being the most expensive at 25,000 euros.
