Renault Clio RS 200 EDC at €24,400 and with very attractive equipment

For those who opt for the sporty version of the new Clio, prices for Spain and the general features of this new offering from the diamond brand have now arrived, aimed at customers with a heavy right foot. This is the Renault Clio RS 200 EDC, which comes with quite extensive equipment and new styling for the five-door Clio.
The standard equipment of this Clio includes 17-inch alloy wheels as standard (optional 18-inch in gloss black or grey), a specific front bumper, twin exhaust, rear diffuser, spoiler, RS badge on the front grille, LED headlights and the five colours in which it will be available: yellow, white, red, black and grey.

The interior finishes feature bucket-style seats, aluminium pedals and footrest, chrome trim on the central screen, a sporty steering wheel, paddle shifters behind the wheel and red details that appear in various parts of the cabin, such as the dashboard, seatbelts, gear lever, steering wheel and doors.
The equipment will be divided into three packs: Confort, Sport and Cup, and includes elements such as dampers with hydraulic bump stops and an electronic Renault Sport differential. The RS Drive button is also added, allowing the programming of the chassis (ESP), engine (idle speed, throttle response, sound) and gearbox (shift speed and rev-matching) across three modes, plus Launch Control.

A special mention goes to the RS Monitor, a telemetry system that is genuinely eye-catching for the range of features it offers: water temperature, intake air temperature, clutch temperature, gearbox oil temperature, turbo pressure, intake throttle opening, brake pressure, steering angle, lateral and longitudinal acceleration, and wheel slip percentage. It also includes a stopwatch for track driving, with maps and reference points that can be downloaded in advance. Another interesting detail is that you will be able to change the engine sound inside the cabin through the electronic equaliser of the sound system.
The engine is the same unit as the Nissan Juke Nismo, the 1.6 turbo producing 200 CV and 240 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and covers the standing kilometre in 27.1 seconds. Top speed is 230 km/h, with consumption of 6.3 litres per 100 kilometres. The gearbox is a single option: the six-speed EDC.
