Renault KWID, a low-cost SUV we want to see arrive in Spain
In India we found several small, low-cost models that we would like to see in Spain, such as this small SUV from the French brand

The Indian market has a distinctive feature that is very attractive in other markets. In this large Asian country you find genuinely cheap cars, aimed at a low income level and yet very suitable for city driving or short journeys. The Renault KWID belongs to this category of vehicles, a low-cost SUV that was presented at the New Delhi Motor Show in 2014.
This model is slightly smaller than the Renault Captur and is designed for that specific market, but it has a few features that we would like to see in Spain. To begin with, it is an SUV based on a segment A-mini architecture, aimed at those who want a small car with SUV styling.

Of course, it cannot match the power of a mid-size SUV, nor even a small crossover, because despite its crossover-style looks, it is not built for demanding challenges. That said, its price is 3,278 euros in its basic version and reaches 6,117 euros at the top of the range.
The engines powering this car are three-cylinder blocks of 799 and 999 cubic centimetres, with power outputs of 54 CV and 68 CV respectively. Nothing extraordinary, but these engines are dressed in bodywork reminiscent of the Dacia Duster. And in India it is even sold under that name, because of marketing matters.

The Renault KWID has a length of 3.68 metres and a width of 1.58 metres. A small, functional car with an urban character that would probably be unviable in our country. In Spain, it could go up to 9,000 euros, although it would likely have a somewhat more powerful engine and, due to marketing considerations, would be adapted to Spanish tastes.
Even so, it would be a small SUV that would attract attention for its styling and its price. For now, India is seeing the second generation of the Renault KWID and who knows, perhaps at some point we will be able to enjoy it in our country.
