The Renault Twizy Sport F1 unveiled by Romain Grosjean at the Barcelona Motor Show

This morning, the quirky and at the same time spectacular Renault Twizy Sport F1 made its debut at the Barcelona Motor Show, a highly anticipated entry, since Renault’s second driver, Romain Grosjean, was also present behind the wheel of the concept. Exactly what one would expect from Renault, celebrating its presence at the show and the passage of F1 through the Montmeló circuit for the Spanish GP.
And it is that Renault has been determined to prepare the Twizy, including in the electric car everything possible, without the small electric car losing its essence as an urban car; though customised to the hilt with the help of Renault. You will see that the front wing of the concept looks like that of a single-seater and that if you lean into the cockpit, you will see a steering wheel that is very similar to that of an F1 car, with many function buttons.

This Twizy has another element that has become very trendy, thanks to its use in Formula 1. We are referring to KERS, which recharges the batteries under braking and which, with all the stored power, can give the urban car up to 97 horsepower and more than 100 km/h of speed, for a period of 13 seconds.
In short, the Barcelona Motor Show has had this extra ingredient, the presence of Grosjean alongside the “racing” Twizy, which, to add to its familiarity with the world of competition, also features a rear wing, side pontoons and slick tyres similar to those used in the Formula Renault 2.0 of the World Series. Undoubtedly, one of the attractions of the show that drew the most attention, but which unfortunately will not be sold by Renault.
