Renault ZOE Electric Cars Salón de París Urban
Renault unveils the Zoe ZE40 in Paris with a range of 400 km

Renault launches one of the most important updates to the Zoe, one of the first electric cars from the French manufacturer.
It was at the recently opened Paris Motor Show that Renault decided to present the Zoe ZE40, an update whose main novelty is the extension of its electric range to a healthy 400 km.
The Zoe is the best-selling vehicle in Renault’s current ZE family, which comprises all of the French brand’s electric vehicles. Today it consists of the Twizy, the Zoe and the Kangoo ZE. The Zoe went on sale in 2011 with a look similar to that of the Clio, and a size ideal for urban journeys.
In its first phase, the Zoe’s electric range barely reached the homologated 200 km, which in real-world driving amounted to a rather tight 160 km or so. Nevertheless, the Zoe is today one of the best-selling electric cars on the Spanish market, since its range now already reaches 240 km.

However, this figure is starting to fall a little short, which is why Renault has launched the ZE40, delivering the greatest range that any electric Renault has ever had, and also becoming the city car with the longest range on the market, reaching 400 km on a single charge.
The new 41 kWh battery will coexist on the market with the current 22 kWh battery pack, and will be able to fully recharge in the same time it takes the current 240 km Zoe. In addition, it will offer the “Quick Charge” function, which provides 80 km of range in just 30 minutes of charging.
