Renault Wind: all the official details

Some leave and others arrive. It’s curious that shortly after Opel announced it was ending production of the Tigra, Renault now presents the Wind in the micro-convertible segment, with a car measuring 3.83 metres long. This quirky two-seater features a design of bold lines and a sporty touch that make the French brand’s intentions clear.
From that design, we must highlight its front end, with large and rather daring light clusters, and moving to the rear we find simple lines with a spoiler crowning the back and the compartment where the retractable roof is stored, which takes just 12 seconds to open or close with a system that folds the roof away so that it does not reduce the boot space (270 litres) when stowed.

Inside, we find a fairly simple dashboard, which appears to be made of good-quality materials and has a sporty touch in the instrument cluster where the speedometer sits, and the finish colour can also be personalised. But the best part is under the bonnet: its exterior lines already hint that the car has a sporty character, and it also bears the signature of Renault Sport which has fine-tuned the whole package.
Both engines will be petrol. The first is the 1.2 TCe which, despite its small displacement, produces 100 CV, while the most powerful will be the 1.6 16v with 133 CV, which it shares with the Twingo RS for example, and which of course carries the Renault Sport signature. Personalisation will be the dominant theme of the Wind, as it will offer plenty of options and the equipment is also quite complete, but for the moment we do not know the prices or all the equipment details.
