Romotow T8, a futuristic caravan that will surprise you

This caravan was designed by a New Zealand company that wanted to break with the typical image of these leisure vehicles and has changed it.

Caravans remain an option for enjoying free time and camping, as opposed to motorhomes and camper vans. And this segment continues to produce models that are very interesting and offer very bold designs. The Romotow T8 is a caravan that comes from New Zealand, from the company W2.

Its design is very curious, because it has a fixed chassis architecture with a curved shape on one side, while the central body can rotate 90 degrees. The image it presents is that of a USB stick with a movable part, hence its innovative look. Thanks to this feature, once deployed it offers a spacious and comfortable living area and a terrace where you can spend pleasant afternoons.

It has several customization options, so it can be designed to the buyer’s taste. For example, televisions can be added to the caravan’s walls, complemented by an outdoor projector. An audio system can also be included, and there is the option of having a single bed or a double bed.

To power all the onboard appliances and the lighting, a 200 Ah lithium-ion battery has been installed, and photovoltaic panels have been fitted to recharge it.

The caravan’s design may be a problem, since it needs more space than conventional caravans: when it rotates, it is wider than the others. It was presented in 2018 as a prototype, but it has taken some time before they managed to put it into production efficiently. The price is quite high, at NZ$429,000, which is equivalent to US$269,000. A luxury that lets you go on holidays and getaways in style, enjoying the comfort this caravan offers.
