Rumours grow: Jeremy Clarkson could be fired from the BBC today

Clarkson 1

It seems that the saga we have been reporting for several weeks now has more and more chances of ending in the dismissal of Jeremy Clarkson from the public broadcaster BBC.

After a “row” with a producer, after being removed from the programme and suspended without pay, after more than a million people asked for his return to the show… it is more than likely that Clarkson will be fired today.

The popular British presenter appears to have his days numbered at the British public television broadcaster. Several sources state that the decision to fire Clarkson will be made public today, and he has not wished to make any statement so far.

Once this happens, the outlook does not look encouraging for the programme (Top Gear). Just a few days ago we told you that his two colleagues, Richard Hammond and James May, had refused to film unless their colleague was there, which put those responsible for both the programme and the channel in a tight spot. However, it is not entirely clear that the two friends of Jeremy will also leave the programme, since the BBC has been looking for a possible replacement for Clarkson for some time.

Although it seems they have found one (Chris Evans, presenter on BBC Radio 2 is being mentioned), the issue now centres on whether the Top Gear format will remain in force or, on the contrary, Top Gear will disappear as we have known it until now.

On the other hand, Jeremy Clarkson has not wasted any time in pulling strings and “looking out for himself”. Certainly, we are sure that job offers will not be in short supply, and indeed it seems that he has begun talks with Netflix, the American multimedia entertainment giant, with which he could sign up to launch a new programme with a similar theme.
